The Amazon Haul cart is a separate shopping cart that holds only Haul items, each priced $20 or less. You open it from the cart icon inside the Haul store and check it out on its own. Shipping is free once the Haul cart reaches $25; below that, Amazon’s help page lists a $3.99 shipping fee per order.
Key takeaways
- Haul has its own search, cart and checkout. Haul items and regular Amazon items are paid for in separate checkouts.
- Open the Haul cart from the cart icon while you are inside Haul (bottom right of the store in the app), not from the main Amazon cart.
- Free shipping starts at $25 in the Haul cart. Below the minimum, Amazon lists a $3.99 fee per order.
- Automatic tiers: 5% off at $50 and 10% off at $75. No code is needed.
- Some deal items carry per-customer limits, and the cart enforces them.

What is the Amazon Haul cart?
When Amazon launched Haul in the US in November 2024, it built the storefront with its own search, cart and checkout, as GeekWire reported at launch. That design is still in place. Amazon’s Haul help page says Haul products are kept in a separate Haul cart, which you reach through the cart icon at the bottom right of the store.
So a “haul cart” on Amazon is simply the basket for the Haul storefront. It lives in the same Amazon account, uses your existing sign-in and saved payment methods, and finished Haul orders appear in your normal order history, as Reviewed explained in August 2026. What differs is the checkout: the Haul cart is paid for on its own. If you are new to the storefront, start with what Amazon Haul is.
One wrinkle: Amazon’s June 2026 Prime Day post for Haul says the Haul cart “syncs” with your regular Amazon.com cart so checkout is seamless. Amazon does not explain what that sync covers, and its help page still describes a separate Haul cart. In practice, open the cart icon inside Haul before you pay, so you can see exactly which items are in the Haul order and whether it has reached $25.
Why is Amazon Haul a different cart?
Amazon has not published a single reason, but its own rules show why one shared cart would be awkward. Haul items run on different terms from the main store. They are not Prime eligible, they usually take one to two weeks to arrive, a $3.99 fee applies below the minimum spend, eligible returns follow a 15-day window with a $3 threshold, and the basket earns automatic percentage discounts as it grows. Launch coverage also reported that Amazon imports much of the selection directly from manufacturers in China, which is why delivery is slower. A separate cart lets Amazon apply the $25 free-shipping line, the 5% and 10% tiers and the $3 return rule to Haul items only. The economics behind the low prices are covered in why Amazon Haul is so cheap.
The practical effect: regular Amazon purchases do not help a Haul order reach free shipping, and Haul items do not count toward a regular Amazon order. For a wider side-by-side of the two stores, see Amazon Haul vs Amazon.
How to find your Haul cart
- Amazon Shopping app: open Haul from the menu or by searching “Haul”, then tap the cart icon at the bottom right of the Haul store. Amazon says older app versions may not support Haul, so update the app first.
- Mobile web or desktop: go to amazon.com/haul while signed in and use the cart inside the Haul pages. Amazon describes Haul as available in the app and on desktop.
- Same login: there is no separate Haul account. Whatever Amazon account you sign in with owns the Haul cart.
Step-by-step entry points for each device are on how to access Amazon Haul.
How to check out the Amazon Haul cart
- Open Haul and tap the cart icon inside the Haul store.
- Review quantities. If a deal item carries a per-customer limit, the cart will not let you go over it.
- Check the subtotal against the $25 free-shipping line and the $50 and $75 discount tiers. The cart and checkout show what applies.
- Proceed to checkout and confirm your shipping address and payment method.
- Read the delivery estimate before you place the order. Haul orders usually take one to two weeks, and Prime speeds do not apply.
- Place the order. It appears in Your Orders alongside your regular Amazon purchases.
Payment questions such as gift card balances are covered on Amazon Haul gift cards and payment. For shopping tips such as sizing, reading reviews and building a basket, see our tutorial on how to shop Haul.
Haul cart thresholds: free shipping, the $3.99 fee and discount tiers
| Haul cart subtotal | What happens | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Under $25 | $3.99 shipping fee per order; no automatic discount | Amazon Haul help page |
| $25 up to $50 | Free shipping | Amazon, June 2026 |
| $50 up to $75 | Free shipping plus 5% off | Amazon, June 2026 |
| $75 and up | Free shipping plus 10% off | Amazon, June 2026 |
These are thresholds, not coupon codes, and they apply automatically. Amazon’s help page describes it as unlocking an additional percentage off as you add items to your basket. If you remove items at checkout and drop below a line, the discount or free shipping goes with them. How the tiers interact with sale events is explained on Amazon Haul discounts.
Per-customer limits in the Haul cart
Some deal items carry quantity caps. Deal reports from early November 2026 described a Haul flash sale on items $2 and under with a limit of two items per customer (a deal-tracking site, November 4) and a 5-cent promotion with a limit of one (a coupon blog, November 5). Limits are set per promotion, so the deal tile and the cart are where you see them, and they can change from one event to the next. The full list of rules is on Amazon Haul rules and purchase limits, and short events are logged on Haul flash deals.
Amazon Haul cart not working? Common problems
| What you see | Likely reason | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Haul items are missing from my Amazon cart | Haul keeps a separate cart | Open the cart icon inside the Haul store |
| I cannot add more of a deal item | Per-customer promotion limit | Check the deal tile and keep to the allowed quantity |
| I am being charged shipping | Haul cart is below $25 | Add items you actually want, or accept the fee |
| My 5% or 10% discount disappeared | Subtotal fell below $50 or $75 | Recheck the subtotal at checkout |
| I cannot see Haul or its cart at all | Old app version, an Amazon Business account, or a store without Haul | Update the app, switch to a personal account, try amazon.com/haul |
| An item cannot ship to my address | Item or address restriction at checkout | Try another saved address or remove the item |
Amazon’s help page says Haul is not available to Amazon Business customers, which explains a missing cart on business profiles. If the cart loads but the store keeps freezing, our Amazon Haul not working checklist goes step by step. Problems after you have paid, such as a cancelled or late order, are covered on Amazon Haul order problems.
What changed in November 2026
As of our November 2026 check, the cart structure has not changed: Amazon’s help page still describes a separate Haul cart, free shipping still starts at $25, and the 5% and 10% tiers are still in place. What was new in early November were short promotions with tight per-customer limits, such as the $2-and-under flash sale and the 5-cent deals reported on November 4 and 5.

Amazon Haul Cart: FAQ
What is the Amazon Haul cart?
It is the shopping basket for Amazon’s Haul storefront, where every item is priced $20 or less. Amazon’s help page says Haul products sit in a separate Haul cart that you open from the cart icon inside the Haul store. It uses your normal Amazon account and payment methods, but it checks out separately from items in your regular Amazon cart.
Why is Amazon Haul a different cart?
Haul items follow different rules from the main store: a $25 free-shipping line with a $3.99 fee below the minimum, no Prime delivery, typical delivery of one to two weeks, automatic 5% and 10% tiers, and a 15-day return window for eligible items over $3. A separate cart lets Amazon apply those rules to Haul items only. Amazon has not published any other official reason.
How do I check out my Amazon Haul cart?
Open Haul in the Amazon app or at amazon.com/haul, tap the cart icon inside the Haul store, and review quantities and the subtotal. Then proceed to checkout, confirm your address and payment method, and check the delivery estimate before placing the order. The finished order appears in Your Orders with your other Amazon purchases.
Can I combine Haul items with my regular Amazon order?
Not into one checkout. Haul has its own cart and checkout, so Haul items and regular Amazon items are paid for separately. Amazon’s June 2026 Haul post says the two carts sync, but it does not say they merge into one order. Regular Amazon items also do not count toward Haul’s $25 free-shipping line or its discount tiers.
Does Prime give free shipping on the Haul cart?
No. Amazon’s help page says Haul orders are not Prime eligible, so Prime members follow the same rules as everyone else. Shipping is free on Haul orders of $25 or more, and a $3.99 per-order fee applies below the minimum. Delivery usually takes one to two weeks rather than Prime speeds, whatever your membership.
Why is my Amazon Haul cart not working?
The usual causes are looking in the regular Amazon cart instead of the Haul cart, an outdated Amazon Shopping app, using an Amazon Business account (Haul is not available to those), or a per-customer limit on a deal item. Update the app, open the cart icon inside Haul, or try amazon.com/haul in a browser while signed in.
Is there a minimum order for the Amazon Haul cart?
There is no minimum to place an order. The minimum that matters is for free shipping: Haul orders of $25 or more ship free, and Amazon’s help page lists a $3.99 fee per order below the minimum spend. Automatic discounts start at $50 (5% off) and rise at $75 (10% off), applied without a code.
