This policy explains what AmazonHaul Guide (amazonhaul.net) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
AmazonHaul Guide is an independent website operated by Jannatun Naim. It is not operated by Amazon.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like every website, our host records your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and troubleshooting. Logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand which pages are useful. Google may set cookies for this purpose. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Comments and community posts. If you post in our community or contact us, we store what you send us, including your name and email if you provide them, so that we can reply.
- Email. If we offer a newsletter, you will only receive it if you sign up, and every email will contain an unsubscribe link.
Amazon affiliate links
Product links on this site go to Amazon.com and contain our Amazon Associates tracking ID. When you click one, Amazon sets its own cookies and may record that you came from our site so that it can pay us a commission on qualifying purchases. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details from Amazon; we see only aggregate reports. Amazon’s handling of your data is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the site to work, for analytics as described above, and the cookies Amazon sets when you follow an affiliate link. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How we use information
- To run, secure, and improve the site.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To understand which guides and data pages are most useful so we can write more of them.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed here (our web host, Google Analytics, and Amazon) as needed to operate the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Residents of California, the EU, and the UK have specific rights under the CCPA, GDPR, and UK GDPR. To exercise any of them, contact us using the details in the site footer and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, post a notice on the homepage.
